We’re usually to be found nuzzling around in the drinks world, but when this
opportunity came up, we decided to take on a new challenge.
The brief was clear and right up the street of our Edinburgh office: help grow
awareness of Lidl’s presence across Scotland and its range of Scottish produce and
To do this, we ran a hardcore press office, a job which we relished – especially when
we discovered some of the amazing beers and spirits Lidl stocks! (Top tip: buy its
Islay whisky, it’s amazing value!).
In a year, our team notched up almost 400 pieces of quality news and feature
coverage across national and regional media.
As well as the press office, we also set up special tasting events of Lidl’s spirits range
and its Pick of Scotland range, and set up a Facebook Live whisky tasting for The
Scotsman at the top of Edinburgh’s Calton Hill to celebrate St Andrew’s Day.
